Steel Building Insulation in Bangor, Maine
Our company provided 12,900 square feet of steel building insulation in Bangor, Maine in 2011.
Supplied for this retrofit job on an existing steel building were (32) custom-cut rolls of 59″x82′ fiberglass insulation blankets, with the 6″ of insulation now filling the metal building’s roof. Adhered to the inward-facing side of the insulation is heavy-duty facing material, which serves as a vapor barrier and protective shield against moisture.
In addition to supplying the insulation blankets for this retrofit project, we also provided insulation patch tape for use during installation. Much of a metal building’s energy loss is the result of air leaks, but adding insulation to this existing metal building helps seal any leaks, resulting in a lifetime of lower heating and cooling bills for the building owner.
