Steel Building Insulation in Benson, Arizona
Steel Building Insulation delivered the insulation and accessories necessary to insulate a 40’x60’x16’ steel building in Benson, Arizona, in October 2022.
The high R-value, R-25 insulation system covers the building’s roof and walls, leading to lower energy bills, better interior comfort and improved condensation control, among other benefits. The blankets installed in the building’s roof and walls have WMP-VRR+ facing, which enhances thermal performance while protecting the blankets from condensation and damage.
To make installation easier, SBI delivered the insulation in the following rolls.
For the roof:
• (3) 22”x20’ rolls
• (24) 60”x20’ rolls
For the walls:
• (2) 44”x20’ rolls
• (16) 36”x20’ rolls
• (2) 36”x24’ rolls
• (2) 44”x24’ rolls
• (6) 52”x20’ rolls
SBI also included (3) 500’ coils of White steel banding, which secures fittings over the insulation blankets, keeping them in place, and (7) 100’ rolls of Insul-Hold coils, which help prevent the blankets from sagging or losing some of their effectiveness. Other accessories supplied for this job included (725) White #112 self-tapping Tek screws, (1) 180’ roll of double-faced tape and (1) 150’ roll of patch tape.
