Steel Building Insulation in Illinois
Steel Building Insulation has been a leading provider of metal building insulation, metal roof insulation, vinyl insulation retrofit and related accessories and products to Illinois residents and businesses statewide for more than thirty years.
We are not tied to one particular steel building insulation manufacturer, and as a result, are able to offer our Illinois customers greatly reduced metal and steel building insulation prices, with discounts as high as 50 percent.
Available products include insulation blankets (both single and double-layer) with a variety of R-values, facings with varying levels of durability and strength, foam insulation panels with a wide range of R-values, thermal blocks that offer tremendous savings in energy, building and maintenance costs and numerous accessories to aid you in the application and installation process.
Insulating your metal buildings comes with a variety of benefits. If your structure is heated or cooled, the insulation acts as a barrier to slow down the movement of air, this provides tremendous energy savings over the life of the building, in addition to enhanced user comfort, light reflectivity, noise reduction and condensation control.
Our insulation panels and insulation blankets are crafted from highly-resilient fiber glass and are available with a variety of facing options, and offer high R-values that offer substantial resistance to heat transfer, resulting in lower utility costs from the time of installation. Facings are available in both white vinyl and polypropylene, and range from light-duty, low-cost WMP-VR to the extremely heavy-duty, high impact GYMGUARD materials. Our insulation rolls are are available in 3’, 4’, 5 and 6’ standard-width roll sizes, and can be delivered to virtually any accessible building site. Our products are professionally color-coded, pre-cut rolls intended to simplify the installation process.
While Arizona does not currently have any statewide energy codes for commercial structures, our metal building insulation product line adheres to the standards set by the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), and are fire-resistant and non-combustible.

As of July 24, 2009, all new state-funded building construction and major renovation of existing state-owned facilities are required to seek LEED or equivalent certification. New buildings and major renovations of 10,000 sq ft or more must achieve at minimum LEED Silver or equivalent certification. New buildings and major renovations under 10,000 sq ft must strive to meet the highest standard of the LEED rating system or equivalent, but are not required to achieve certification.
The Illinois State Senate amended the School Construction Law (Public Act 95-0416) with governor approval, directing the Capital Development Board to only issue grants to school projects with LEED for Schools or comparable rating system certification, or to projects that meet the standards set forth by the Capital Development Board Green Building Advisory Committee.
