Steel Building Insulation in Trenton, New Jersey

Our company supplied 12,978 square feet of steel building insulation in Trenton, New Jersey for this project in October of 2014.

We supplied supplied the insulation, facing material and accessories for this retrofit project at McGuire Air Force Base. Installed in the building’s roof is 3″ fiberglass insulation, which is held firmly in place by 3.5″ weld pins. The weld pins were chosen over alternatives that would require the use of glue, and the customer also purchased (2) welding machines from Metal Building Insulation in order to weld the pins to the building’s roof deck. Applied over the insulation blankets is a water resistant facing material, which serves as a protective cover as well as a vapor retarder.

McGuire Air Force Base is located within northern Burlington County, and it falls under the jurisdiction of the Air Mobility Command. The base sits about 9 miles outside Springfield and 7 miles from Plumsted Township.
