Steel Building Insulation in Kansas City, Missouri
Our company supplied 20,042 square feet of steel building insulation in Kansas City, Missouri in December of 2014.
We supplied the insulation, facing and accessories for this new construction project. The new-construction metal building operates as a gymnasium for Camp CUMCITO, a summer camp for children from low-income Missouri families. Installed in the building’s roof is a double-layer high R-value insulation system, while the building’s walls boast an 8″ single layer fiberglass insulation system. Together, the roof and wall systems lower the building’s energy costs considerably while serving additional purposes including enhancing interior comfort and minimizing outside noise. The insulation installed in both the roof and walls is complimented with heavy-duty Gymguard facing, which is designed for use in high-impact areas and acts as a vapor retarder and protective cover when applied over the insulation blankets.
In addition to supplying the insulation and facing, Steel Building Insulation also provided a number of accessories for use in the project to aide in the installation process.
