Building Outlet Supplied the insulation for a steel building in Bastrop, Texas, in June of 2022.
The ultra-thick roof and wall insulation system delivers superior thermal performance, which slashes heating and cooling bills for the owner of the 25’x50’x10’ metal building. Supplied for installation in the roof of the steel building was a high-performance R-38 doubled-banded insulation system, achieved by installing 3” of R-10 overlay atop 8” of R-25 insulation.
The walls of the building hold a 6”, R-19 insulation system, and both the roof and wall insulation also has heavy-duty WMP-VRR Plus facing serving as a layer of protection against damage and moisture. Steel Building Insulation also supplied (2) 500’ coils of steel banding to hold the insulation in place.
Additional accessories used to insulate this metal building included (250) self-tapping White Tek screws, (1) 150’ roll of patch tape, and (4) 180’ rolls of double-sided tape.
