Energy Codes for Steel Buildings
The U.S. Department of Energy designed COMcheck to be used as an energy code compliance tool that essentially tells a user whether or not a building meets the requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and ASHRAE, it also includes state-specific codes. COMcheck provides overall performance requirements for commercial building envelopes and assemblies. Using the ComCheck tool allows for more flexibility when designing the building envelope.
COMcheck is an extremely useful tool for metal building construction industry professionals. But, while it is helpful, it can also be overwhelming. Our steel building insulation representatives understand the code requirements given through Comcheck and can help provide you with a custom insulation system for your steel building project. Visit the official Energy Codes website to use ComCheck.
