Roof Insulation & Accessories for Doggy Daycare in Berthoud, Colorado
Steel Building Insulation supplied the roof insulation and accessories for this dog training and doggy daycare facility in Berthoud, Colorado, in December 2022.
The 6” of R-19 roof insulation helps keep interior temperatures consistent and pets safe and comfortable despite Berthoud’s long, cold winters and high-altitude location. In addition to helping create a safe, cozy environment for pets, the roof insulation also serves as a barrier against condensation and mold growth, helping preserve the building’s structural integrity.
All insulation blankets supplied for this project have rugged WMP-50 polypropylene facing, which protects them from damage while giving the inside of the dog-boarding facility a clean, finished look. SBI delivered R-19 insulation blankets in the following packages to streamline insulation.
- (2) 75”x4” rolls with (1) seal tab along the bottom
- (2) 76”x3” rolls with (1) seal tab
- (2) 50”x3” rolls with (1) seal tab
- (1) 50”x3” roll with (2) double-seal tabs
SBI also sent accessories for installers to use during installation. Accessories in this order included (2) 500’ coils of 1” White steel banding and (200) White self-tapping Tek screws. The dog-boarding business owner also used 4”x85’ Whitecap premium adhesive tape with a moisture barrier to hold the system together.
Located in north-central Colorado, the town of Berthoud has land in Larimer and Weld counties. The community sits about 43 miles north of Denver and about 21 miles south of Fort Collins.
