Energy Saver Roof and Wall Insulation for Parker, AZ Steel Building
The owner of a prefabricated metal building in Parker, Arizona needed a high-performance, energy saver insulation system for it, and Steel Building Insulation accommodated the request, delivering the insulation blankets and accessories for it in August of 2023.
The high R-value roof and wall insulation systems make the 40’x50’x16’ steel building supremely energy-efficient, leading to low heating and cooling bills for the lifetime of the building and many other benefits, among them improved interior comfort. The building’s roof, which has a 4:12 pitch, now holds an R-32 multilayer Energy Saver insulation system, with 6” of faced R-19 insulation installed in the roof cavities and another 4” of unfaced insulation overlaid on top of it.
The walls of the building hold a single-layer, R-25 insulation system, with the insulation rolls installed horizontally. To hold the roof and wall insulation in place, Steel Building Insulation also supplied:
- (1) 500’ coil of White 20-gauge steel banding
- (1) 100’ Insulhold coil
- White self-tapping #12 Tek screws
- (1) 150’ roll of White Energy Saver tape
- Thermal tape
While the insulation package makes for a more comfortable environment for work or storage, it also enhances sound absorption while helping prevent condensation from coming in contact with the building frame.
Part of La Pa County in west-central Arizona, the city of Parker sits along the Colorado River, about 35 miles, by car, from Lake Havasu City.
